What we collect, what we do with it, and how to make us delete it.

Last updated 6 September 2026

The short version. We collect what you type into a form and anonymous statistics about which pages get read. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.

If you want your details deleted, ask and they will be deleted.

1. Who we are

Marketing Analytics Consultants, a trade name of Snapshots of the Past, Inc. We are the controller of the information described on this page. Contact: info@marketinganalyticsconsultants.com

2. What we collect

WhatWhyHow long
Your name, email and web address, when you submit a form So we can answer you and carry out the analysis you asked for Kept while there is a live conversation, then removed on request or once it is clearly finished
Anything you write in the message field To understand what you are asking Same as above
Anonymous page statistics — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, which link brought them To see which writing is worth continuing Retained in aggregate
Server logs kept by our hosting provider Security and troubleshooting. Not ours, and not something we mine As set by the host

We do not ask for payment card details on this site. We do not collect special category data, and we have no reason to want any.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your information to anybody, for any price.
  • We do not run advertising pixels or retargeting trackers on this site.
  • We do not add you to a mailing list because you sent a form. If we ever start a mailing list, you will have to ask to join it.
  • We do not use your business as a case study by name without asking first.

4. Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies. Analytics may set a cookie to tell a returning visitor from a new one. If your browser blocks it, nothing on this site stops working.

5. Who else sees anything

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, and only for that purpose: our hosting company, our email provider, and our analytics provider. Where we bring in a subcontractor on your engagement, they are bound by the same confidentiality terms we are.

We will disclose information if the law requires it. If that ever happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

6. Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to the address above and we will do it. We will not ask you to explain why, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with privacy statutes have these rights by law, as do residents of the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. We extend them to everybody because maintaining two standards would be more work than simply doing the right thing once.

7. Security

Access to client material is limited to the people working on the engagement. Credentials you give us are stored in a password manager, never in a document or an email, and are removed when the work ends. We will tell you promptly if we ever have reason to think your information has been exposed.

8. Children

This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

9. Changes

The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
