A hand-drawn line dips below the baseline through a series of loops, then climbs steeply upward. Labeled fail, then, grow.

Why this exists

Three in four never measure what their marketing returns.

Sprout Social has surveyed thousands of marketers since 2020. The share who measure return using their own data has never risen above a quarter. It is not a shortage of tools. The loop simply never gets closed.

What we do

Assess it. Then fix it.

Most firms that assess want to sell you the rebuild. Most firms that build cannot grade their own work.

The assessment

Nine dimensions, scored against a written instrument. Findings ranked by what they cost you.

How we work →

Fixing what we find

Metadata, redirects, structured data, page speed, broken tracking. Most of it shows a difference within a fortnight.

The method →

Social & content

Audit first. Then the program rebuilt and measured against a baseline set before anything changed.

The study →

Marketplaces

Catalog, feeds and listings across Amazon and Walmart. 25 years, 300,000 items.

What we find

A few things we’ve noticed.

Real findings from live sites, kept anonymous. Each one is worth money every day it stays unfixed.

A grocery chain, 189 stores

The Weekly Flyer link was missing the question mark that separates a web address from its store number, so it could not resolve. The flyer is the most visited page a grocery chain has. The store pages run off one template, so it was broken the same way in all 189 of them.

A seafood retailer

Email capture, a text-message signup program and card payments, with no privacy policy published anywhere on the site. The messages were going out regardless. Federal telemarketing rules attach damages to each one.

Three brands in one state

Lookalike domains were reproducing their page titles and meta descriptions word for word and ranking on their own brand terms. Customers searching for the real company were finding these instead. One of the three already pays a firm to watch for exactly this.

But the one that matters is yours.
